 Kyung Hee University opened the first orthodontic classroom in 1971 as the first orthodontic department 

established in a private university in Korea. Over the past few decades, we have been constantly accepting 

and learning new technologies in line with rapidly advancing science and technology, and have transformed 

by applying them to our practices day by day.

We have built a strong cooperation system with other departments at the Kyung Hee University Medical Center 

and operated ‘Sleep-Breathing Orthodontic Clinic’, ‘Digital Surgical Orthodontic Clinic’, 

and ‘Biocreative Orthodontic Center’.

The development of science technology and the IT industry has a been great influence on the overall aspects 

of our lives, and the dental field is no exception. We also interact with other universities around the world 

through programs such as Internatioanl Scientific Orthodontic Forum(ISOF), Biocreative Orthodontic Strategy(BOS),

and Mini-residency. Every year, many overseas speakers and students visit the Kyung Hee University 

to share orthodontic knowledges.

As the director of the Kyung Hee University orthodontic department, I should emphasize that I enthusiastically 

look forward to meeting and interacting with you on every occasion of our organized meetings and courses.
